Potty Trained-and lovin' it

Mason's newest accomplishment is potty training. Three weeks before Mason's birthday Grandma Sue pushed a reluctant mommy into potty training. After sabotaging me by bringing over really cool transformer pants then getting Mason to put them on Jordan and Grandma left Mommy and said now you can't go back to diapers. It had begun. The gauntlet had been thrown down and potty training was off and running. After two harrowing days Mason was picking up on potty training quickly. With the motivation of a fabulous new airplane pack that we picked out at Walmart Mason was ready to learn. Now I can happily say that potty training is complete! He can go into the bathroom by himself when he needs to go take care of his pants by himself-thanks to lots of practice with Grandma Pam when mommy needed a break from potty training. Not to mention he can sleep in his big boy pants and wake up dry. So while I was reluctant to begin potty training it has turned out very successfully within a month. Thanks for all the help and support.

Happy Birthday Mason!

On April 13th Mason turned 3 years old. He had a great birthday with phone call and candles to last the whole day. We started the morning with pancakes topped with candles. We only had to relight the candles about 10 times before he was satisfied. Then Mason chose to go to work with Daddy. After they came home we celebrated with the Winters family. We started with an easter egg hunt that the boys all loved. Then we had pizza and cupcakes that the boys helped Grandma to make. Mason was so excited when he started opening presents to find his favorite toys in the whole world-AIRPLANES! He has been playing with his GI Joe and ride on airplane non-stop since he got them. We also celebrated Mason birthday with the Court family with all the spring birthdays last month. It was the perfect intro to his birthday this month, and he has been singing Happy Birthday ever since. Other than airplanes he also got some awesome t-shirts. And still some people were able to find airplanes, jets, and helicopters. Mason was so excited and he wears them everyday. Mason honorary Aunt Carly brought him some Beatles shirts which he had to put on immediately. They had a yellow submarine on them. Thanks for all your love and support with Mason's birthday.

Easter

We recently celebrated Easter. After church our family went over to Grandpa and Grandma Court's for an easter egg hunt with the cousins and to celebrate Grandpa's birthday. Each grandchild got to find a specific color of egg hidden in the yard. Mason got to find all of the green eggs and James got to find all the metallic eggs, which his brother helped to find and bring to him. The easter egg hunt was a huge success other than the ants being attracted to Elsa's pink eggs. After the hunt Jessica's pet chicken came out to play, and Mason gave it a ride around the yard. Later we went inside to sing to Grandpa and have cake. Mason had a terrific time singing Happy Birthday.
